DESCRIPTION:stay safe!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJune 23 \n\n\n\n\n\nYouth Safety & Preparedness Initiative equips children and families with essential skills to stay healthy\, recognize danger\, respond to emergencies\, and protect themselves with confidence. Through interactive workshops with local agencies\, participants learn stranger awareness\, boundary-setting\, emergency preparedness\, and age-appropriate self-defense focused on de-escalation and escape. The program builds awareness\, confidence\, and practical decision-making skills so youth feel prepared—not fearful—in real-world situations. \nThere will be a special presenter every week so stay tuned to our social media posts for more info! \n\n\n\n\nWeek 1 (June 23): Safe Sex! \nThis class provides a comprehensive\, nonjudgmental\, and inclusive approach to sexual health education. Participants will learn about: \n\nContraception Options: Condoms\, birth control pills\, IUDs\, implants\, and other methods to prevent pregnancy.\nSexually Transmitted Infections (STIs): How STIs are transmitted\, prevention strategies\, testing\, and treatment options.\nHealthy Relationships: Consent\, communication\, boundaries\, and respectful decision-making.\nBody Awareness: Anatomy\, reproductive health\, and self-care.\nPractical Skills: Proper condom use\, negotiation for safer sex\, and accessing healthcare resources.\n\nClasses are typically interactive\, confidential\, and suitable for people of all genders and sexual orientations.
