This introductory session will explore the importance of waste reduction\, recycling\, and environmental stewardship while creating practical tools that will be used throughout the program. The customized recycling stations will help encourage park visitors to keep shelter areas clean and promote recycling habits both in the park and at home. Participants will also learn about the Detroit Recycles program\, discuss local recycling practices\, and complete a recycling knowledge assessment. \n\n\n\n\nThis program introduces students to the seven elements of art; line\, shape\, form\, colour\, value\, texture\, and space—through hands-on exploration inspired by the natural world.
